Devon Shuchman is a pain physician in the Ann Arbor VA Health System, serving as an adjunct faculty member and clinical instructor in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at the University of Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Shuchman earned her Masters of Science degree and Medical Doctorate at the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. She completed internship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL before returning to the University of Michigan for her residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Shuchman then completed the pain medicine fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Shuchman completed the Medical Education Scholars Program while in training at the University of Michigan and has continued her work in medical education research, milestones and outcome measures. She is an active member of the International Pelvic Pain Society, serving on the Board of Directors and medical education committee. With clinical interests in women's health rehabilitation, pelvic pain and pelvic floor disorders, Dr. Shuchman provides interventional and non-interventional pain and spine care to the veterans at the AAVA Hospital and Health System in Ann Arbor, MI. She serves as director of VA pain fellow training within the University of Michigan Pain Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Shuchman is board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine.
