Faculty-Guided Didactics

The University of Michigan PM&R Resident Lecture Series is given by distinguished faculty within the PM&R department as well as world-renowned faculty from other departments within University of Michigan as well as around the country.  Experts from neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and urology are examples of frequent guest lectures that give our residents a well-rounded education and keep them up to date on current standards of care.

Faculty-Guided Yearly Cadaver Anatomy Course

A cadaver-based course reviewing skeletal, muscular and neurologic anatomy

Faculty-Guided MSK Ultrasound course

Biweekly sessions led by the musculoskeletal faculty focusing on learning the basics of ultrasound as well as learning the ultrasound anatomy of each joint

Faculty-Assisted Board Review

Bi-weekly sessions led by PM&R faculty and senior residents focusing on high yield topics for the PM&R written and oral board exams

Faculty-Assisted Self-Assessment Exam Prep

Prep Sessions For the self-assessment exam (SAE) in the three months prior to the SAE.  During these sessions, we talk through questions and discuss any areas of confusion with leaders of the field. We also have several faculty-led prep sessions prior to the EMG SAE.
