The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provides comprehensive consuItation, evaluation and rehabilitative services through the coordinated efforts of its physicians and therapeutic services. Inpatient rehabilitation beds are available for adult patients, with special emphasis on the rehabilitation needs of traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopaedic and stroke patients.

Inpatient consultative services are avaiIable to the hospital at large Outpatient Rehabilitation Centers in Ann Arbor include:

  • Burlington Building (by Briarwood) has Physician, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, and Psychology Services
  • MedRehab at Briarwood-Comprehensive Adult Therapies
  • U-M Orthotics and Prosthetics Center
  • University Hospital has Adult PhysicaI, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Rehabilitation Engineering
